Here I want to show you different race car transporter . They are comming from different teams , privat or sponsert by Companies like Ferrari or Ford &&&  .Lot of these or not original thought to by a race car transporter but here you could see how creativ a few of the teams were to get the problem of transporting the race car under control . But here you can also see wich teams had no money problems to build a transporter that gave all help they needed at the race track . Some of them had only one truck and all tools within this one !

1960 -  Le Mans

Here you can see maybe one of the first race car transporter of the world ! Also when this truck was not specialy build for this reason . On the left side you can see Mister “Enzo Ferrari” in the time he was working for Alfa .

My informations about this transporter is , that it was used in 1930. I don’t know if it’s right. Please send me informations if you know more !

The cooper team was mostproberly one of the first teams ,if not te first team ,that sponsert their team by advertising on their bus . Like time shows with success !

This truck shows you very good that it wasn’t very important to show up with an professional race car transporter at the race track . It is still more important how to show up ON the track ! Fangio showed that very good !

Fangio & Gonzales started in the race session in 1951 with this truck sponsert by the “Automobilia Club Argentina” . They had to check there finance and started slow by spending the money not to quick .

This transporter belonged most proberly to the Ford Team France . The team WALON was maybe a privat team that was sponsert thrue the company Ford France ?

The transporter brought  following race cars to the track :

• Ford - Daytona coupes
• Ford MK. II

Here’s a Maserati Transporter . This typ was also used by Ferrari and Scarab. There are only a few parts different to the transporter of Ferrari and Scarab.

This open deck transporter is also one of my favorites ! The Fiat transporter was used by two companies - Maserati & Ferrari . Of course they had different disign .

These transporter were used about 10 years -from 1952 > 1963 - before they changed to a closed transporter so nobody could see anymore wich race cars are in the transporter in the moment .

Like this it was much easier to keep secrets SECRET !

Ferrari had used this Transporter untiol 1957 . Then it changed to Maserati and was used by Lance Revebtlow to haul his Scarabs to races from 1957 or so until the team disbanded.

The new owner of this open deck transporter is the team “Fossil Motorsport” . The also changed the design back to the Ferrari style that it had first.

This one is not the nicest but he looks very classic . I think because the Porsche team had used this one he chould not be missed in a collection like this one !

Specialy this truck was also used by the team Martini . They also had Porsche race cars but the race they had own things going .

Here you can also see what job he had & where the race driver lived. His name ( Helmut Polensky) and the town ,Durlach (belongs today to Karlsruhe in the S/W of Germany) , with postal code from that time. The race car he was driving in races was a “Poletta” !

In the early period of racing it was still posible for privat “hobby” driver to be  part of some races ,also it was maybe difficult to win . But here I don’t know any result of Helmut Polensky races .
